Having worked with Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery for a number of years, we worked with their team to help design and build a new website that reflects the museums growing status as a cultural hub in the area. With a recently refurbished museum space, and a growing number of cultural events and activities available, it is important that the new website speaks to a broad audience and attracts a wider range of visitors.
The new website gives Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery the ability to easily manage and publish regular events and content through the Drupal's CMS. The events page itself has been enhanced to give users the ability to filter by interest or audience type, as well as a richer experience across the site, with video and interactive elements. To engage more effectively with their community, the user journeys within the support section have been completely reorganised, to improve user navigation and to help create a compelling case for support.
More than 60% of the users that engage with the Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery website are on mobile. As a result, it's important that the site works seamlessly across platforms.
Through the design and testing phases of the project, we pay close attention to how the website will look and respond across devices, to ensure that users on desktop, small desktop and mobile devices have an equally engaging experience and can find exactly what they need.
The final website has an integrated donations flow, to help engage users and increase conversions on site. Additionally the team at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery can fully edit the content across the site, as well as the reorganising menus and creating new pages as needed. The platform allows the team the ability to make 'on the fly' amends to help react to changes in events or to react to rainy days when users need to know up-to-date info!
