Last month, we were proud to add the new Hounds for Heroes website to our portfolio of charity client work. We have been working with Hounds for Heroes for 3 months on their new Drupal website and the whole project team were really excited to go live, having worked hard on the design, build and content collaboratively.
Life changing assistance dogs
Hounds for Heroes provides assistance dogs to members of the armed forces and uniformed services who now need additional support in their day to day lives. Each dog receives specialist training and Oyster were lucky enough to visit their training base last year to find out more about the dogs and the organisation. A dog can take up to 24 months to fully train, however the difference they make is life changing to those who receive one.
A major step forward
The new website represents a major step forward for the charity and the new platform has allowed Hounds for Heroes to present their organisation in a way that truly reflects the important and exciting work they do. A bespoke design combined with all new photography provided by the Hounds team has led to a visually stunning website that encapsulates the wide range of people the charity can help.
Laying a foundation for the future
From a technical point of view, the site features a shop, a custom PayPal donation tool and a number of features that allow the charity to promote events and feature success stories from people that the charity has already helped.
