Harvest Fine Foods are high quality food suppliers within the Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and Berkshire regions. Harvest engaged Oyster to help evolve the brand, shape their proposition and design and build a new website. When COVID-19 raised its head, Oyster worked with Harvest to design and develop a successful home delivery service with a second website, brand differentiation and online ordering.

Harvest not only source a huge amount of produce from high quality local producers but also source ingredients from all around the world. The range and quality of produce is important to professional chefs and the brand needed to reinforce their credentials. As part of the brand development Oyster shaped headlines and copy propositions to bring out the character and ethos of the business. We evolved the brand design styles, treatment and propositions to clearly differentiate their brand and stand out from competitors.

Developing a style that shouts ethical and locally sourced

Despite excellent credentials, ethical practices and expertise in sourcing and embracing local producers, much of this went unnoticed. Oyster shaped the brand and website to bring their ethos and ethics to the forefront. We used images that not only reflect their produce and passion for food but engage their audiences. The language and design evokes a sense of excitement about their offering and build trust and interest.

Creating a sub-brand for home delivery customers

With the arrival of COVID-19, Oyster moved quickly to help Harvest set up a home delivery service, which was a huge success. We adapted brand colours and propositions to reflect the consumer market, designed and ran social media advertising campaigns, branded delivery menus and packaging to engage home deliveries.

A trusted supplier website for food service and home delivery customers

The Harvest website caters for both professional catering and home deliveries. The logic required careful planning with integrations and programming required to connect existing and new systems. Built in Drupal, the website CMS enables easy editing, new page creation and flexible content. Part of the requirement was to develop social media templates and design and run social media advertising. The website analytics were monitored by Oyster with recommendations for enhancements and our campaigns engaged with and grew the home delivery audience.

The Harvest brand and character comes across very strongly within the websites. The imagery and design styles project a fresh and professional feel as well as a genuine passion for great food and fresh ingredients. The use of high quality produce shots and plenty of breathing space for page sections reinforces the sense of professionalism and confidence. Copy and propositions were carefully crafted to further enhance brand communications.
