The Queen's School
The Queen’s School is an independent school for girls aged 4 - 18. The school is based on two sites within Chester and is renowned for academic achievement with a high percentage of students progressing to top Universities, including Oxbridge.
The Queen's School website was in need of an update in terms of design and build to better reflect the School’s quality and modern approach to education, whilst also portraying the ‘nurturing’ and ‘family’ environment it offers to students. Ultimately, the website needs to promote the school accurately to prospective students and their parents.
The school has lots of competition locally; new schools have been built in the area and other local schools have changed to become direct competition. The website needed to not only reflect the pupils’ academic achievement but also capture the unique qualities of the school which lift it above its competition – namely the nurturing approach, individualised learning and personal development which takes place.
Oyster worked with The Queen's School marketing and IT teams to deliver a bespoke solution to the school's needs. Following an audit of existing site content, a new navigation was constructed to work around the content and also the site audience's needs.
The site was designed to follow the existing school branding and also in line with how the school wanted to be perceived. The colour palette was developed for effective use online.
Built to be fully responsive, the site renders well to all screen sizes and devices, with mobile menus and mobile specific content to make the user's experience as exceptional one. The site also integrates with the school's calendar system.
