Lymphoma Action brand
Originally called The Lymphoma Association, the charity required a full rebrand including a new name, expansion of their services to include research and an overhaul of their communications to provide clarity as to their extensive range of services that include information, advice, engagement groups, professional training, research and publications.
Oyster started the process by running a brand workshop that engaged the different teams. The workshop reviewed their audiences, services and products. We looked at strengths and opportunities, explored character and approach for audience groups and shaped a vision for the future. The outputs of the session were then used to help shape the brief. Oyster worked with the charity to create a new name – Lymphoma Action. We developed a modern design style and introduced mechanics that allowed different audience communications to sit comfortably. We shaped propositions and copy style and provided comprehensive brand guidelines and a template toolkit.
With an extensive range of services and communication streams, The Lymphoma Association needed to develop the brand to be modern, engaging, reflect their character and expertise, and give clarity and ease of access to their communications. The current brand felt quite dated with purple being very dominant. The communications required overhauling to focus the proposition and use of copy to enhance response and engagement with supporters and to help differentiate between audience groups. With a broad range of printed materials and different service offerings to very different audiences the brand design style needed careful crafting.
