The school website is often the first place a parent might look when considering a school for their child. It needs to sell the benefits of the school, present its character, and give an impression of what school life might be like for their child at that school. There are so many question to answer and a school website should answer as many as possible, before driving enquiries to the school in the form of visits, registrations and attendance at open days.

Parents and students aren't the only audiences either. There's existing parents, the local community, feeder schools, associations like the ISI and not to forget potential high-quality future employees.

Here are some of our favourite school websites that we designed in 2018:

Benenden School

One of the most prestigious girl's boarding schools in the UK, Benenden has a reputation for delivering a complete education in a beautiful setting.

Lancing College

Lancing College is a family of schools that offers children from nursery to eighteen years a wonderful journey of discovery and inspiration. Lancing College was founded in the mid 1800's by Nathanial Woodard, and was the first of the Woodard family of schools. Today the college is a vibrant and creative place offering a broad range of learning opportunities. Lancing also includes two prep schools locally and and busy development office.

Westbourne House School

Westbourne House is an independent preparatory day and boarding school in Chichester. The prestigious school has an excellent reputation for both academics and co-curriculum subjects. The school is superbly positioned in a beautiful estate of playing fields, woodland and even a lake whilst also benefitting from being just on the outskirts of the historic city.

Bedales School

Having built the website 4 years ago the site was given a refresh in early 2017.

Bedales is a leading independent day and boarding school based in Steep, near Petersfield in Hampshire.  Located in 120 acres of farmland, woods, orchards and playing fields, students still follow John Badley’s ideal of educating ‘head, hand and heart’.
