Oyster’s Karen is rowing gold medal winner!

The Oyster team don’t spend their whole lives in front of a Mac. Some of them have whole other lives that include various sporting activities. Southsea Rowing Club’s novice ladies raced to victory at the B.T.C. Regatta held Saturday, 18th August 2012. The crew was comprised of our own Karen Kenney (graphic designer) at stroke, Sarah Barrowclough, Lucy Gross, Clare Larvan, and coxswain Patricia Verrier. Behind at the halfway mark, the crew pulled together to overtake two boats and sprint to the finish, with the Poole Rowing Club ladies finishing a very close second. The regatta marks the end of the sprint season this year.
