Who are Oyster?
We are a marketing and creative team working out of a large open plan studio in an historic building that was a printers for over 100 years. We even have a resident ghost! Oyster have a very talented creative team, strong marketing know–how and a smooth organisational process. It’s a great atmosphere in the studio. An open plan environment means we can all contribute to ideas and share information. We love our work and we enjoy building effective relationships with our clients.

What’s important to us?
Our working ethos is built around being excellent at what we do. We like the diversity of working with local organisations as well as large multi-national ones. We love working with charities and schools as well as our commercial clients.
It’s a nice atmosphere at Oyster, we have a table tennis table, that is often in use, we don’t clock watch but we put in extra time when we need to and we help and support each other. It’s important to us to be recognised as good people to work with, who inspire our clients and achieve results that speak for themselves.

How we work
Our team have all been recruited for the skills they bring to the table. We’ll allocate a team to suit your needs but your brief will also benefit from everyone’s input at our creative sessions. We work in an open plan environment that naturally encourages discussion and information sharing. Whether it’s a one-off project or a full overview of your marketing comms, you get 100% appraisal and input from us.
We use an online management system that gives you easy access to visuals, timescales and content and also provides easy messaging. The system gives you an archive of work, notifies you of all activity and helps us to manage each project efficiently. The system also gives you direct access to the studio and the designer or developer working on your project.

Listening & Planning
Oyster believes in listening before we act. Before we can suggest any ideas or plans we need to understand more about your organisation and its products or services. We then have a good basis on which to base our ideas and solutions. We like to all come together in a creative session to involve our entire creative team. This is where the magic happens.

Design & Development
Once we have an idea or a concept we will then start to develop this into something tangible. Our design team will start to work with some of the ideas that came out of our creative session. We might need to throw some ideas or questions your way to ensure that we are on brief. Feel free to ask some back – we like to involve our client in the whole process.

Manage & Maintain
Once you’re happy with the concepts that we’ve developed we will manage the delivery, whether this is artworking for print or making your website live. At this stage you can expect proofs and samples. When the project is complete we like to keep in touch with our clients to track response and success. We’re very interested in the success of your project!
Where are we?
We’re based in Emsworth, a small fishing village on the south coast, right on the Hampshire, West Sussex border an hour from London. Emsworth has a very long history of oyster fishing. In the late nineteenth century the oyster trade was worth about £4 million to local fisherman. Emsworth’s local yard produced some of the world’s finest oyster boats in Europe. It’s a great village and a nice place to work.
